Custom booking and scheduling software
Need customers, staff or members to book times, appointments, services or resources? Syfo can build a booking system around the way your business actually works.
When an off-the-shelf booking system isn't enough.
Generic booking platforms work well for straightforward appointments. If one fits your business, use it — we'll happily tell you so.
But many businesses end up working around their booking tool: double-checking availability by hand, taking bookings by phone because the system can't handle them, or re-typing bookings into other software.
Complex availability rules
Availability that depends on more than a simple weekly calendar.
Multiple staff types
Different roles, qualifications or combinations of people per booking.
Different service lengths
Durations, buffers and preparation time that vary by service or customer.
Resource availability
Rooms, equipment or vehicles that need to be free as well as staff.
Industry-specific workflows
Steps before and after the booking that a generic tool doesn't know about.
Existing customer databases
Bookings that need to work with the customer records you already have.
Internal approval steps
Requests that need checking or approving before they're confirmed.
Custom payments
Deposits, packages, accounts or pricing rules beyond a simple checkout.
Existing software integrations
Bookings that need to flow into accounting, CRM or operational systems.
Unique customer journeys
A booking experience that should reflect how your business actually works.

Common questions
Should we just use an off-the-shelf booking tool?
If a standard booking platform fits the way you work, it's usually the quickest and cheapest option, and we'll tell you so. Custom software makes sense when your availability rules, workflows, payments or integrations don't fit a generic tool, or when the workarounds are costing you time.
How much does a custom booking system cost?
It depends on the rules, users and integrations involved. A focused first version covering the core booking flow costs considerably less than a system that does everything at once. After an initial conversation we can give you a realistic estimate and suggest a sensible first stage.
Can it work with Google Calendar or Outlook?
Usually, yes. Calendar services such as Google Calendar and Microsoft Outlook provide APIs that allow bookings and availability to be synchronised. Exactly how it works depends on what you need the integration to do.
Can customers pay or leave a deposit when they book?
Yes. Online payments and deposits can be built into the booking flow using an established payment provider, along with rules for refunds and cancellations.
Can you move us off our current booking system?
In most cases existing customers, services and future bookings can be exported and imported. We'd look at what your current system allows before planning a migration.
How does booking work in your business today?
Describe it in your own words — the services, the people, the rules and where it gets awkward.
